Emergency Drain Service in Andover
Same Day Drain Unblocking in Andover
If you’ve noticed the tell-tale signs of a blocked drain, it’s important to get it sorted as quickly as possible. Our experienced drainage technicians are on hand to provide fast and effective drain unblocking services in Andover.
When is a Blocked Drain an Emergency?
Is your sink slow to drain? Have you noticed an unpleasant smell coming from your bathtub? These are common signs of a blocked drain, and even small blockages can soon escalate, leading to expensive repairs and potential issues such as flooding. As such, it’s important to tackle drain blockages as soon as you can.
Blocked drains count as emergencies when they have an immediate impact on your daily activities and access to amenities. For example, if the only toilet in the house is blocked, or a blockage has caused flooding.
Same-Day Drain Services in Andover
If you’re facing a plumbing emergency or you’re worried a blockage will escalate, don’t panic! The team at Canford Drains can resolve the problem and limit any further damage. We can provide emergency drain services to get your system flowing as it should within a matter of hours.
We’re available 24/7 to identify the problem and restore your system to full working order. Give us a call on 02380 880202, and we’ll be with you as soon as possible.
Our Drain Unblocking Services
A big part of finding the best solution to our blocked drain is finding the source of the problem. Common causes of blocked drains include:
- Unflushable items, such as nappies, wet wipes, and dental floss
- Pouring oils and cooking fats down the sink
- Food waste in the sink
- Tree roots growing in your drains
- Leaves and garden debris
Once we know the cause, we can use effective techniques, including drain jetting with high-pressure water and drain rodding to manually break blockages apart. We can also use bladed cables to sever tree roots.
For more information and to arrange drain unblocking in Andover, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Soakaway Repair in Andover
Soakaway drainage systems are durable and reliable. They channel water away from your property through rubble-filled holes covered with turf. This type of drainage system is ideal for flood prevention and reducing the risk of waterlogging.
However, over time, general wear and tear can lead to damage, and leaves, silt, and garden debris can cause blockages. Fortunately, our drainage experts in Andover can use jet washing to dislodge any blockages and restore your soakaway system. We can also sever any tree roots that might be intruding.
If your soakaway system is severely damaged, whether through cracks or collapsing, we can also offer replacements. Please get in touch to speak with one of our experts, and we’ll take a look at your soakaway drainage.
Professional Septic Tank Emptying in Andover
Does your home or business in Andover rely on a septic tank for waste disposal? This type of sewage system can be very efficient but it requires regular emptying to keep it functional and hygienic. The team at Canford Drains can ensure your septic tank is emptied safely and kept in excellent condition.
How Often Does Your Septic Tank Need Emptying?
We generally recommend emptying your septic tank every 3-5 years. However, if you have a large family or manage a busy commercial space, you might need to empty it as often as every 1-2 years.
Our qualified team has years of experience maintaining and emptying septic tanks in Andover and the surrounding areas. We’ll remove any sewage, household waste, and wastewater safely and efficiently.
You might also want to consider a maintenance contract — this can be a cost-effective way to keep your septic tank in the best condition. As well as regularly emptying your tank, we’ll inspect it to make sure everything is in perfect working order.
Give us a call on 02380 880202 to arrange a one-off visit or to discuss our septic tank maintenance contracts.
CCTV Drain Surveys in Andover
The cause of a drainage issue isn’t always immediately apparent. If you suspect a blockage or area of damage, we can carry out a CCTV drain survey to investigate and resolve the problem.
What is a CCTV Drain Survey?
A CCTV drain survey involves placing a camera into your drainage system and guiding it through so we can pinpoint the root of an issue. The camera is mounted on a flexible rod so we can manoeuvre it carefully as we watch a screen in real-time.
Once we know the exact location of the problem — be it a blockage or a crack — we can head straight there and carry out the best repair possible.
Homebuyer CCTV Drain Surveys
As well as identifying blockages or areas of damage, a CCTV drain survey can be helpful when buying property in Andover. You can appoint us to look at the drainage system of the property you wish to purchase so you can see the condition of the drains. If the survey highlights any current or potential problems, you may be able to negotiate with the seller.
All of our CCTV drain surveys come with detailed reports providing an outline of your drainage system’s condition. These reports can be valuable when dealing with mortgage providers and insurance companies, showcasing that your drains are in good condition.
Whether you have an unexplained drainage issue or you’re looking to buy a property and want to check the drains, feel free to contact us to arrange a CCTV survey in Andover.
