Our Drain Unblocking Services in Yeovil
Whether it’s an emergency or you’ve spotted a blocked drain and want to get it sorted before it escalates, we have a range of techniques to provide an effective and long-lasting solution.
One of the most effective methods we use is drain jetting — using high-pressure water to dislodge blockages. We also use flexible drain rods to manually break blockages apart. If tree roots are the cause of your blocked drain, we can trim them away using bladed cables.
Is Your Blocked Drain An Emergency?
Whether it’s a persistent blockage that has led to flooding or your only toilet is out of action, we can get the issue sorted quickly.
Generally, a blocked drain emergency is anything that has an immediate impact on your daily activities, hygiene, and access to amenities like a toilet.
What Are the Main Causes of Blocked Drains in Yeovil?
To reduce your need for drain unblocking services, it’s helpful to recognise the common causes of drainage issues. In our 25 years of experience as drainage experts, we’ve found these to be common culprits:
- Disposing of nappies, wet wipes, and other unflushable items down the toilet
- Pouring cooking oils and fats down the sink
- Washing food waste down the sink
- Tree roots growing in your drains
- A build-up of leaves and garden debris
Soakaway Repair and Replacements in Yeovil
Have you noticed any flooding or waterlogging in your garden? It could be a sign that your soakaway drainage system isn’t working as it should. These systems consist of holes in the ground that are filled with rubble and covered with turf. They offer an effective way to take water away from your property and can last for decades.
However, if you’re concerned that your soakaway may need repairing, the team at Canford Drains can help.
Does Your Soakaway Drainage System Need Repairing?
Over time, soakaway systems face a lot of wear and tear. The holes can become blocked by leaves, silt, and garden debris, reducing the system’s effectiveness. Tree roots can also encroach, causing blockages or, in severe cases, cracks.
The good news is that our drainage experts are available to provide soakaway repair and replacement services in Yeovil. We can unblock your system, sever any tree roots, and either repair the cracks or replace the system.

Professional Septic Tank Emptying in Yeovil
Is it time to empty your septic tank? Many homes and businesses in Yeovil rely on septic tanks for waste removal, and they can be very efficient sewage systems. However, it’s essential to arrange septic tank emptying every 3-5 years — or every 1-2 years if you live in a big household or run a busy commercial space.
Contact us to book your septic tank emptying and keep your system in top condition. Our trained team will safely remove any wastewater, sewage, and household waste.
Septic Tank Maintenance Packages
To keep your septic tank running as efficiently as possible, we also offer maintenance contracts. Along with regular emptying, we’ll ensure your septic tank is in the best condition possible so you can have peace of mind. We’ll inspect the system to ensure it’s in perfect working order.

CCTV Drain Surveys in Yeovil
If you’ve noticed signs of a blocked drain — from slow-draining sink water to an unpleasant smell in the bathroom — but you can’t identify the source, a CCTV drain survey could be what you need.
How Does a CCTV Drain Survey Work?
A CCTV drain survey involves placing cameras into your drainage system and guiding them. All the while, we’ll monitor real-time footage so we can see what’s going on in your drains. This will help us spot any blockages or areas of damage.
Identifying the issue this way makes finding and resolving it much quicker. We’ll then be able to carry out the most appropriate and efficient drain unblocking or repair method.
What is a Homebuyer’s CCTV Drain Survey?
While CCTV drain surveys are an excellent way to identify drainage problems, they can also be helpful when you’re buying a property. If you’ve found a property you’d like to buy in Yeovil, we can carry out a survey to give you a clear idea of the drainage system’s condition. We’ll also provide you with a detailed report of our findings.
This can be valuable information for several reasons:
- If there is current or prospective damage, you may be able to negotiate the asking price with the seller or ask them to carry out repairs before the sale.
- If the drains are in good condition, you can use this to your advantage when dealing with mortgage providers and insurance companies.
- If you plan to do any work on the property in the future, the drainage plans can prevent costly mistakes.
Whether you’re planning to buy a property and want to check the drainage system or you’re worried about an unexplained drain blockage, please contact Canford Drains to arrange a comprehensive CCTV drain survey.
Drain Repairs in Yeovil
Sometimes, ongoing blockages can be caused by damaged drains. We can carry out professional drain repair services to get your drainage system back to full working order. No-dig Drain Repairs
We’re pleased to offer no-dig drain repair services to homeowners, tenants, and businesses in Yeovil. Where possible, we use methods that require no excavation. This means we can repair the damaged part of your drain without causing any damage or disruption to your property or daily routine.
Some of the most effective solutions we offer include:
- Drain lining: If your drain pipes are cracked or affected by corrosion, we can apply a thin resin layer on the inside to seal it and create a smooth surface.
- Drain replacement: If the damage is more severe, we may need to replace sections of your drainage system. We’ll carry out the process using minimally invasive techniques.
